Abbey Chapel Opens!

After 6 months of building work, our new chapel - named the Abbey Chapel - opened for funerals on 12th March. In that first week we carried out 36 funerals in that chapel and 35 funerals in the main chapel, which we have now named the St. Edmund's Chapel.

The Abbey Chapel seats 60 people and is a bright and more modern chapel than the St Edmund's Chapel, which is more traditional with its warm oak pews and furnishings, and can seat up to 90 people.

Both chapels now offer all recorded music on the latest system available, the Obitus system. This has a vast range of music in its library and an amazing sound system. With this system fitted, we can now also offer webcasting and DVDs, as well as the most professional visual tributes on our large screen.
